Remove intimate images shared without consent

If someone has shared intimate images or videos of you on Salty Sanctum without your consent, use the form below to ask us to remove them. You do not need an account.

We remove valid requests within 48 hours of receiving them, and we block re-uploads of the files we remove, including many edited copies.

If the person shown is under 18, or you believe you are in immediate danger, please also contact law enforcement. In the United States you can reach the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org and the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative helpline at 844-878-2274. Submit this form as well; we handle reports involving minors differently, and we preserve rather than destroy that material so it is available to investigators.

Who are you submitting this for?

A link, a username, a description of the post, anything that helps us find it. If there is more than one, list them all.

Submitting starts our 48-hour removal clock. You do not need an account, and you will not be asked to create one.

What happens after you submit

  1. You get a case reference on screen straight away. Save it. Our 48-hour clock starts the moment you press submit.
  2. A member of our moderation team reviews the request. A person makes this decision, not an automated filter.
  3. If the request is valid we remove the material from the platform and delete the stored files, not just hide them. We record the digital fingerprint of each removed file so that the same file cannot be uploaded again.
  4. We email you at the address you give us to confirm the removal is done. That email contains only the case reference and the date; it does not repeat anything about the material.

What qualifies

This process covers intimate visual depictions of an identifiable person published without that person's consent, including computer-generated and digitally altered depictions. You can submit a request if you are the person depicted, or if you are authorised to act on their behalf.

If your report is about something else, such as harassment, spam or a safety concern, use the Report option on the post itself, or our contact page. Those go to the same moderation team on a normal queue.

About copies

When we remove a file we record two fingerprints of it. The first identifies the exact file, and it reliably stops that same file being posted again.

The second is a visual fingerprint: a description of what the picture looks like rather than of the exact data in it. It means a copy that has been re-saved, re-compressed, resized, converted to a different format, or lightly cropped is usually recognised too, even though it is a different file.

It is not perfect, and we would rather say so. A heavy crop, a zoom into part of the picture, a rotation or mirror, added text or borders, or a strong filter can all defeat it. Video is not covered. When our check is uncertain rather than confident, a person on our moderation team looks at it instead of the system acting on its own. If you see the material again in any form, submit a new request and quote your case reference.

What we do with your details

Your name and email are used to handle your request, to confirm the outcome, and to keep a record that we met our legal obligation. They are visible only to our moderation team. We never tell the person who posted the material who reported it. See our privacy policy for retention detail.
